Masons Tender

Deserted CN railway shops, muddy river banks, the echos of battlegrounds on the marshes and the
familiar sounds of Acadie bind the members of Masons Tender to their New Brunswick home. All of
mixed French and English background - Masons Tender also performs a mix of East Coast
traditional, roots, folk and country based songs forged from a shared passion of place.
Eager to profile the stories of the Miramichi River, and the industries of old, steamers, loggers, fisher
folk and builders brought to New Brunswick by The Irish, English, Scots and French - the band found
that most stories reflected the experiences of the other Maritime provinces but for some reason not
their own.

Since then fronted by two-time ECMA nominee Bryon Chase (Banshee), the group has gone to pen
originals depicting stories too good to let go down that river. New Brunswick has just as colourful a
past from rum runners to the expulsion and theyre the band to share it. The grittier the better.
Masons Tender has performed for over 5 years throughout The Maritimes, a favourite at The Old
Dublin and Old Triangle as well as corporate and festivals. From the New Brunswick Highland Games
to Miramichi Irish Festival, the group combines East Coast flavour with a penchant for storytelling.
along with Masons Tender, a band that will introduce you to and
entertain you with sounds and stories from the province. Check
