Nurturing HOPE was the third CYC World Conference. It was held in Ventura, California in January, a fantasy edition for Canadians. For me, it was an opportunity to reprise my first major road trip 40 years prior with stops at the Kingdoms and surfing in Malibu.

The Poster Project, aside from building the Council brand, was my major creation. CYC is hard to describe and the notion of a visual metaphor as a way of explaining an element of the profession hit me. Guest are free to click on the posters they like, download the PDF on to a vault and take it to the local quick print.

The last event before lockdown ended all travel and well, human interaction. This conference takes place in a grand old suburban hotel with fabulous staff in Dublin. Aside from attracting the international CYC set, professionals from across Ireland and the UK attend. Always in November, it just catches Christmas shopping. Highly recommended.
