RETREAT

THE RECTORY, COUNTY CAVAN, IRELAND

PANDEMIC

The last Unity Conference was in November 2019. Following a successive trip in March I returned home on the first day of lockdown on March 29. Over two years of masked and isolated living frequenting only the super market and a thrift store followed.

RIDING THE WAVE

As 2022 opened there was a sense of optimism that there was light at end of the tunnel. In April, Dr. John Digney sent out an exploratory email to Unity and Gathering mail lists inviting interest in a retreat in Ireland in June. Attendees soon found themselves caught up in a historic travel wave which may continue for months.

GRATEFUL

Twenty so over the pandemic folks accepted and a booking was made at The Rectory, just outside of the Village of Virginia, in County Cavan, Ireland. This is a visual presentation of the retreat. Thank you to all who participated for connecting fellowship and the land once again.

Our hosts, Maxwell Smart and John Digney hand out the "Moments Matter" T-shirts. Indeed they do and there were many. The soda high boy was none too shabby as well. Masterful stewardship of the discussions as well.

have you ever noticed that anybody driving slower than you is an idiot, and anyone going faster than you is a maniac. ~ george carlin

Andy Leggett took on the task of getting everyone between the Rectory and the Lakeside Manor down the twisty road and back. I loved riding it and I know he loved driving it. Andy has a talent for being there for people, attending to their needs and smoothing out their journey.
